Bank CSV Converter - how the converter is tested This file describes a method. It holds no test result. The script tests/run_fixtures.js (plain node asserts, no packages, no network) uses one synthetic CSV fixture per bank profile: 40 profiles, 40 fixtures. It converts each fixture to the 4 targets (YNAB, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Wave) and compares the converted file field by field against the import layout written down for that target: the header row, the number of rows, the date format, the sign and value of each amount, and the total. The fixtures are synthetic. They were written from the column layout each profile describes and are not real bank statements. A fixture can only show that the converter reads the layout written in the profile; it cannot show that a bank still exports that layout. Bank export formats can change, so a mapping may go out of date. Check the converted file (dates, amounts, their direction and the row count) against your statement before you import it.
